Let Freedom Ring Celebration

The Let Freedom Ring Celebration was held at the Cerritos Civic Center. Here are pictures and videos that Candy and Jim Yee took during this festive event. First, some Let Freedom Ring Committee members.

Liberty Bell

Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard marched in.

Bruno Noel recited his poem "Independence Day" which won the Cerritos Recreation Services Division poetry contest. He was followed by the singing of "America" by Dubey Perez(?).

Sheriff Luna made some comments. Rosemary Economy followed with her comments. Then the National Bell Ringing ceremony was performed. This concluded the formal ceremonies.

Cerritos Mayoral Transition
April 19, 2023

At the Cerritos Mayoral transition, Bruce Barrows was elected Mayor and Naresh Solanki was elected Mayor Pro tem. Many CRC members and friends attended this meeting and the reception afterwards.

General Meeting
April 11, 2023

Latino conservatives Benito "Benny" Bernal and David Hernandez spoke at the April CRC General meeting. David Hernanez is the Chairman of the Los Angeles Hispanic Republican Club. Benito Bernal is in charge of Youth Outreach for the Los Angeles Hispanic Republican Club. They talked about their successful efforts to draw young conservatives into their Club.
