We are fortunate to have as our guest speaker Curt Pedersen. Curt is the Chief of Staff to Supervisor Knabe and is responsible for all downtown and field deputy operations, advises the Supervisor on District and Countywide policy issues, and serves as the Supervisor's liaison to the Chief Executive Officer and County Counsel.

In addition, Curt serves as the Supervisor's liaison to the Claims Board, County Counsel, Coliseum Commission, and the Internal Services Department. He also advises the Supervisor on risk management and departmental legal issues.

Curt is a native of Los Angeles County. He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach and for a number of years he operated a small business based in north Long Beach. Following the sale of his business, Curt attended Whittier College School of Law where he earned a law degree. Curt is a member of the State Bar of California and has held the positions of general attorney and trial attorney at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
